Sustainability Assessments for Bioproducts D

 Preliminary course description<br />This course focuses on applying tools and methods learned in the Introduction to Sustainability in the Bioeconomy course. It adds a practical perspective via the sustainability assessment of pre-defined case studies.<br />In groups, the students will assess case studies based on biomaterials/bioproducts developed by Bio2 research groups and/or industry.<br />Lectures will be given at the beginning of the course to (1) remind the students of the tools and methods applied, (2) describe the project subject and scope, (3) form the teams and book tutoring sections, etc.<br />The groups will work closely with the specialisation/package responsible for gathering additional information to assess case studies.<br />The evaluation is a presentation and a one-pager critical analysis of the sustainability profile, solution value proposition, risks identified, and solutions proposed.
